The TD05 should be capable of running 1.5 bar with ease, people have run more. On an Evo 7 I was running 1.8 bar on the standard TD05 making around 380 bhp. It should be boosting nicely by around 3.5k revs and full boost by circa 4k. You've either got a dodgy turbo or an actuator problem. I would also check the headers and ensure there are no leaks. If the engine and headers are all okay then it has to be a turbo/wastegate issue.

Factory boost on the Z5 ECU (is this what you're running?) is around 13 psi. The decat should have improved breathing so would increase boost slightly. Out of interest what fuel are you running? Have you checked/cleaned the boost solenoid? There is a possibilty the engine may be going in to limp mode.

my ecu is a SB. i run the car on vpower or tesco's 99 the selonoid is a three port type top which is a smaller pipe is to the comp housing next one down which is a slighty bigger pipe is to the wastegate and bottom one is to air feed i think thats the right way to do. is that right. i haven't cleaned it out as yet i will try this next..
thanks
