Default Custom Braided Hoses

Looking for someone who can make up a couple of braided hoses to fit my bias valve. Silicone Hoses.com can do them for about £20 but I'm loathed to pay a tenner to post 2 braided hoses

Cheers

Jon

Jon, you won't get braided lines made up much cheaper so it isn't worth messing about with.
I Boyd, I can get custom silicone hoses built.

My bias valve has been plumbed in using copper pipe which was always the interim hence the need for some braided hose - it's to replace something not made before

I've seen the Venhill stuff but they don't have the fittings I want - only Essex Racing in the states seem to have all the stuff I want

Copper pipe is better than braided mate.

But it's not flexible and as the valve is mounted to the seat I cannot fit my runners until I get flexi hoses fitted.

I'm guessing that's the hose place on Queens Road - I'll dig out a number and give them a bell

Put the valve in a fixed position. Solid copper pipe, job done.

Valve was fitted in a position that suited me so I could adjust it easily - I can reach it while strapped in and wherever the seat is the position remains the same - you could say it is ergonomically suited

Because it's a tight fit and it will move I'm looking for a 250mm hose with some 90 degree female M10 swivel bends at one end and 90 degree male M10 swivel bends at the other

Looking at the pic you posted above, I'm not quite sure why you need hoses with those specific fittings? Would it not be much easier and just as adjustable for angle/position etc to use banjos?

I could use Banjos at the bias valve end, but I was planning to use females onto the pipework with a view to removing the brass coupling. The Banjos would still need to be swivel fittings to ensure alignment.

OK, that makes some kind of sense. Personally (and feel free to shoot me down) I would keep the brass coupling but mount it to the body and then run braided with banjos from there to the bias valve. I still don't get why they would have to be swivel fittings? Surely you could just position the banjos in the correct orientation and then lock them down and forward/backward momement of the seat factored in with hose length?

When fitting the valve I looked for somewhere to mount the brass union as I wasn't sure how rigid the pipework would be and there was nowhere to mount it due to other stuff running behind the carpet. The reason for the swivel fittings is I could not guarantee the orientation of the banjo after fitting the female - I could use 2 banjos orientated 90 degrees off each other if I kept the brass mount but I just want to de-clutter it a bit.

Gotcha.

If the banjos are swagged on you can still rotate them in relation to the hose. Have you tried Earl's at Silverstone? Not the cheapest admittedly but the quality is about as good as it gets. They also have full machining capability so they can usually make you whatever you need if it's not a standard item.
