Default Turbo & Downpipe Removal,Help Please..

Hi guys.

Have been trying to get the TD05 off the wrx and have managed to undo 4 bolts,2 on either side of the turbo, there seems to be another around the back of the unit and i cant reach it,there isnt enough space to get anything in there to undo it?

Can it be removed easily or will i have to undo the engine mounts and tilt the engine??

Your thoughts welcome.

Cheers

Jamie

Your talking about the downpipe nut right ?

Get at it from under the car with a small socket set. Think it's a 14mm from memory.

no access to a ramp like a a garage has, would the car go up the metal ramps you can buy for at home use with 18s on? minus the front bumper?

Jack it up high enough and you can put it on the metal ramps if you want, but axle stands are just as easy!

I used metal ramps when I did my downpipe with no problems-I am on factory ride height though...

When fitting my decat with a mate I just jacked it both sides and clambered underneath with said 14mm socket. The nuts weren't too bad to remove actually. Turbo IIRC is said downpipe bolts and 3 bolts off your up-pipe, associated fixings.
