The tax is £475, the mpg is nowhere near 25.9.

Yup, he's stuck a couple of STi badges on there, I'm sure the wheels were a factory upgrade option though.

As for 25.9 mpg, I can't get anywhere near that, even in my WRX.

Got an email back from the garage - 4 previous owners + Subaru (demo), FSH.

If clean, seems not a bad buy with 12 months mechanical warranty, however, wonder if this covers stuff like the shocks?

What do you lot think?

That will be a quick car, I mean quicker than 5.4 from 0-60.....looks like it's got PPP to me.

Looking at the rear silencer anyway. Benfields don't mention PPP, so maybe they don't know or realise?

I don't think they've got a clue mate, did ask if it had any remap or aftermarket mods when I e mailed them.

Might go and have a look and drive it, should be able to tell straight away if it's PPP'd/remapped.

Cool, it would be good for you to get a result like that if you decide to buy it.

There could be a PPP certificate lurking in the bookpack somewhere!

They're not a franchised dealer so I'm not sure if the shocks will be covered by their warranty.

Anyway, going tommorow to have a look and if I like it, see how much they're going to *** rape me for my px.

My Spec D also had a PPP sticker on the driver door sill as well as the certificate - maybe worth checking. Good luck with PX - I traded an 04 WRX PPP - samer colour as yours...shocking price I was offered!

Well, went to look at it, really good nick for an 06, so I bought it.

Even better it does have the PPP fitted, my WRX is running 287 BHP but this thing is in a totally different league performance wise, very fast.

Got the warranty extended to 2 years for another £350, so I think I got a really good deal. It covers everything including the clutch for the first 12 months and everything else, shocks included for 2 years.

Picking her up Friday, can't wait.

The pick up in the 2.5 is brilliant from really low down, what I enjoy about my sti is I can drive it fairly quick even off boost but the response due to the torque is fantastic, I've got 350 and 390 left an my figures are 60 in under 5 seconds and believe it or not I regularly see mid 20,s mpg but I don't drive it like a lunatic all the time. As you have the good warranty I'd get a compression check done every so many months so if the hg does go they can pay instead, mine went 10 days out of warranty

Sounds like a good find. Presumably the trade-in wasn't so derisory as you feared?

The trade price was £1.5-2.5k according to Glasses/Cap and I got £2.5k for mine, owes me a lot more than than that, but in todays market I suppose that's about right.

make sure you check how much the warranty pays for each claim, when i bought my bugeye with a warranty and the engine went pop they only payed up to a £1000 per claim, and my total rebuild was £2100 with the new clutch i had put in or would have been £1800 without either way i was seriously out of pocket and v pissed off at the time
