Default Braided Fuel Lines

Has anyone here replaced their fuel lines with braided ones. I'm thinking specifically about the ones around the fuel filter, if so do you know what the ID on the hose is.

Also, I'm assuming that I would have no issues if I used a filter like this one rather than the standard subaru style one

Cheers

You won't be able to use that type as its for low pressure systems, but you can use the high pressure versions

You need AN_6 pipe & fittings. An inline filter is fine but must be fitted vertically (ask Harvey why). However look for a filter you can screw your ends on to like a a systec.

A filter more like this then

Why AN6 when the factory set-up is push-on fitting, at least as far as I can see

That's the filter you want. You can go for push on if you want but if using braided steel hose then goodrich type fittings are more secure, & look good. You will have to push on onto the hard metal lines & use a hose finisher.

That's the one, you can get the push fittings for it too, you don't have to have -6 fittings but its better if they are, if you were doing a parallel setup that's what fittings you'd want

I'm not doing a parallel set-up rather just freshening up under the bonnet. I presume the fuel rails are push-on on the OE set-up too - the car is in wraps ready for the weekend so can't easily access it at the moment.

If I go for a push on set-up I was looking at red anodised finishers anyway
