Default Mot help needed

I have a classic import wrx 1995 that has just failed the mot on the omissions which I knew it would, does anyone have a centre pipe with cat I could buy/borrow to get it through the mot please?

I live in the Northampton area.

Regards
Phil

If you knew it would fail on the emissions, why did you put it in?

And, how did it pass in previous years? The Emissions Test values haven't changed lately - have they?

I only recently changed it to a straight through pipe as my cat pipe was no good.
My mot is originally due next month and wanted to know if any work would be needed to get it through.
As luck happens its only the emissions and a number plate bulb.

Rules have chnaged. Mine passed every mot without the cat (only just) but a pass is a pass, but now if the car had a cat it needs at cat regardless of how clean it runs, I ened up buyin one unless I find a nice mot'er

From memory imports have different rules on emissions if the are older than a certain age, I think the change date was 94 though. Worth a google check to confirm though.

This might help

http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repositor...01992-2002.pdf

The guidance doesn't make it crystal clear but should help some. Did the tester know it was an import ?
