Thanks one more thing can the j2 ecu be mapped ? If not any ideas on which ecu is best.

Yes it can be mapped.
Speak to one of the mappers on here chap about your options

I have a vf28 for sale. Under a year old. No smoke. Taking it off my w reg impreza that I'm breaking. £250ono based in chesterfield.

£250 is a bit steep for a 28, think from memory I let mine go for £150

Fair one banny....A little more digging came up with the V6 RA having a VF29
maybe thats where the confusion comes from...
