Default Clock And Radio Dead In 1998 WRX STI IMPORT

Hi. I was racing a BMW 6 series a few weeks ago and blew a fuse in my car for the clock and stereo. every time i change the fuse it goes pop. I'm usekess with finding stuff like this so any help would be well appriciated! As much as i LOVE the sound of my car im not looking forward to a 3 hr drive at the weekend without one!

Have you popped the stereo out to see if it's been badly installed and the wires are shorting out?

Yes. Checked all wires and none are bare. Could it be something to do with the ignition wiring as when a new fuse is installed the clock works until ignition is turned on but the stereo does nothing at all
