Thanks for the reply's my car is totally standard well apart from a prodrive back box i will be doing a few mods to it, so what type of panel filter should i get pipercross, k&n, cosworth?
Hi there
Personally I wouldn't put any induction kit on yours, you will need remap at least and you will not gain lot of power, good panel filter like K&N or Green Cotton should do job nicely on yours

I have that exact kit but modified to its modified to fit my P1 l along with a newage maf come mapping time
seems a decent enough but unless you plan on progressing with the modifications and running a front mount intercooler then you would be best off keeping the standard air box and using a green cotton panel filter.

As what the previous guy's have said.
If you're looking for a future power build and are buying parts bit by bit to fit them all at once, then that's okay bearing in mind you'll need a map of course.
However, if you want to continue driving the car then you would have to consider having it mapped after fitting the induction kit as it will be running lean and you're engine can go POP.
Alternatively you can go with a good panel filter like K&N which will do a good enough job without needing a remap.

I recommended the op get a panel filter because unless he's going for big power he won't need it , not because of a mapping issue
If you fit an induction kit 01 onwards , it can cause a slight upset in fueling but I fail to see how it is gonna blow an engine unless there's another problem elsewhere
The later ecus are very smart pieces of kit and an induction kit will not fool it enough to cause a blow up
The ecus are quite capable of adjusting to keep things relatively safe
I've run my car with various induction set ups and none put it that far out if range that it would blow up
