Default Smell Of Burnt Oil After Being On Boost?

As title, what could it be? Smells of burning oil after being on boost and parking up, pulling up at junctions/lights etc.
No oil drops that i can see on the floor, checked turbo oil return seems ok, rocker gaskets not leaking that i can tell. What else should i check? Thanks.

Probably oil on the headers/exhaust bud. Doesn't take much to give off a stink. Even a little seeping will cause it. Rocker gaskets are well known for it. Unless your burning oil and its noticeable on the dip stick it will be fine. If your paranoid get it into your local spanner for a check over.

Do you have a VTA dump valve fitted? If so it may be hot oily vapours being spat out of it due to a build up or oil in the inlet.

Mine did this when it had a split CV boot as well, i.e. the oil doesn't have to come from the engine itself.

Mine sprayed grease all over the downpipe, and it stank to high heaven when pulling up.

Yeah there is a VTA dump valve on it, but its only just started smelling of it after 4 weeks of owning it, never did it when I first got it. What causes oil in the inlet then, turbo seals? I'll have to check for that.
Yabbadoo - cheers mate, I'll give it another really good check over.

Good shout, I'll check those too. I did drive it yesterday off boost for a while and it didn't stink, only when its been on boost.

Do you have a catch tank fitted? It may be turbo seals, but it may be oil going into the inlet from the breathers & a catch tank may fix this.
