loads of threads about this buddy ,but stick with the common ones,
1)uprated panel filter
2)decat down pipe of course
3)uprated fuel pump
4)i would do the plugs to the ngk pf7`s
5)try and get a newage wrx intercooler a fairly easy fit compared to the newage sti one .
then a remap to about 270+bhp

If you de-cat you may start issues without a re-map.
To be safe:
1. Uprate the fuel pump. Easy job to do, 30-40 minutes. If you are on a budget get a second hand STi version.
2. A decent panel filter, K&N, Green Cotton etc etc. 10 minute job.
3. Plug change to the NGK PF7's. A PITA but easily do-able on the drive, about 1 1/2 hours.
4. The decat down pipe from the turbo is a bit of a pain as it's awkward to get at. Get a good quality pipe from one of the recommended suppliers, Scooby Clinic, Revolution 247, Scoobyworld, RCM etc etc.
5. Brakes. More BHP means you'll need to stop better, the OE 4 pots are pretty good but better discs, pads and DOT 5 fluid will help.
6. Suspension. It may be soggy and old. More power means you need good stuff to get the power down properly.
7. Then a re-map.
You could combine it all at a specialist but the de-cat and fuel pump should be done just before the re-map or as part of the work.
Hope this helps.
