How legal is a blitz nur spec
Obviously a very popular exhaust system and very loud ! Just wondering how legal they are.
Just fitted my nur spec r system over the weekend I love the sound but boy are they loud.
Is it posible I could have issues if I was to be pulled over ? Any1 ever had issues ?
Cheers

Technically any exhaust thats louder than the manufacturers standard is illegal, however if you get pulled for them to actually give you a VDRS for the exhaust they need to do a reading, and nearly no police have decebel meters (just got them in essex though). But unless you rag it past them or theyre out to get you you should be fine. I had a very loud backbox on my last car and never got pulled and told it was too loud, and same with my scooby. Generally they dont care about that unless your purposefully making A LOT of noise or theyre making a stand at a car cruise and pull anything that doesnt sound as quiet as a micra haha!!

As said, anything louder than is stated on your V5 is technically illegal.
However, i've been running a Nur Spec R for a while now & have been stopped for a numberplate issue (£60 ticket).
They looked at my exhaust but said nothing & I went by them in the Nationals, doing the national speed limit!
My neighbour has moaned about it though..

I drove an STi once with one of these exhaust systems on, and it was way too much for me.
Cabin noise was chaos, and had to switch the engine off to speak to someone out the driver window.
Not for me, but crack on man!

I've got a NUR Spec S on my STi and never had a problem after 8 years. Not as loud as the NUR Spec R admittidley but it still looks and sounds great.
Considering getting a quieter one now though.....must be getting old!

Just fitted one to mine after wanting one for many years. My 2.5" was so quiet I wanted to hear the rumble, but fuxk me this one roars, i love it and thankfully live in the country so shouldn't annoy too many people. I do have to usE the bung tho. Which is a shame as they look crap. I was thinking about adding a silencer to the centre to quiet it down a bit

Ive got an STi with a Nur Spec R - Put it this way, its not a family car thanks to the noise of it, but to me it sounds great.
I've been pulled twice in a few years by cops, due to the time of night I finish work, and neither time was the noise of it even mentioned.
Could've just got lucky, but I also think its the way you deal with them when stopped as to how they treat you.

Hi, I have a full afterburner system on mine without the baffles. I was round a friends the other day and after leaving the police turned up... Some grumpy old hag said that I was making too much noise and the house party was too frantic (9 people and no music but there we go) the police spoke with my friends and said that they agreed the old girl was being too fussy, but they were aware that the scoobies have these boy racer exhausts and in their own words " and there is nothing we can do about it and as they are not illegal" .......says it all. He just asked that we go easy when leaving the cul de sac late at night. As we always do.

I ran the Nur Spec with a full decat for a couple of years and never had any issues from the old bill or MOT stations. Whilst I like my TSL as it is more ear friendly (and track friendly if I ever get near one) I would love the Blitz back for tunnel runs and just general hooning about

You've not had a loud system until you've had a decatted straight through pipe with no resonators or an actual back box. That's LOUD. It took me a few weeks before I got sick of it and the attention.
