Hi all I need to know what the estimated running temp of the exhaust is.??
Can anyone help or know the answer

A range would be 450c-700c under hard driving,depending on the set-up, thats post turbo. Temps in the headers, before turbo, can be 150c higher. When my EGT probe was in the downpipe, max temps were around 500c but I run Methanol in the petrol and this tends to keep temps down. General driving about town would be 3-400c at a guess.

The temperature will vary depending on where in the exhaust you specify.
At the cylinder head it could be 950C +. I reduces all the way from there to exiting the tail pipe at 60-70C. The temperature depends on the load the engine is under at that time and as Trev says a drop of around 160C is typical, under load, uppipe to downpipe.
