Thumbs up First Remap

Guys, thought I'd share my first mapping experience... after much deliberation I decided to get it done on the rolling road with open source, finished on the road of course, so organised a trip to EngineMapper (Group B Motorsport) for last Saturday.

The drive down was good, but the drive back was a lot more fun! Heard a lot on here about how a remap changes the car, and now I know what you mean - much smoother, a LOT more torque and it even sounds better too, like its all just generally working better.

Here's a pic of the car on the dyno (behind the world's noisiest fan):

After a couple of hours while Graham worked his magic, the end results were 255bhp and 358lbft, which was pretty good considering this is a standard 2.5 WRX with only a ScoobyWorld back box and a high flow panel filter:

The graph shows the huge torque difference, about 30% I reckon, which is VERY noticeable on the road! Overall very happy with the whole experience, and would recommend Graham

yeah, defo get it done - I arrived at 9am, we got underway about half past (car was cold, so he warmed it up first) and were on the road home by 12 noon. Graham took his time, didn't feel rushed at all which was good - 3 hours total; I guess it would depend on the mods etc. but 3 hours is a good starting point for a complete map.

Post the results up once you've had it done
