Pulled in a car park and smoke was coming from the bonnet. So lifted it up and there's coolant everywhere all over the engine. What do I do ????

Battery light an no p/s would indicate the belt has broken or the crank pulley has seperated and gone through the radiator. Hence the coolant everywhere.

Might want to check top rad hose as mine went a few weeks back and the water was pissing out all over the belt and causing it to slip like mad..

top hose wouldnt cause the battery light to come on unless the belt is massively slipping.

If the belt is quite well worn and not that tight in the first place then it wouldn't take a lot of water to throw the light on. Its just another possibility for him to check.

Thanks for the help guys!!! I was in sainsburys at park in Arnold but iv managed to nurse it home with a duct tape fix.
Well I checked every hose I could see in the engine bay. And like some of you said. It looks to be the top rad hose there was a big gash init and once squeezed the coolant gushed out so brought some duct tape and wrapped it round for now. It got me home but it was still gushing out and smoking from being burnt off. But there was no lights on the dash or power steering malfunction on the drive back.
