Default happy owners of focus st2 but still miss by old impreza's

Currently running a nice 06 plate focus st, rare 5 door so the baby can go in easy, it does everything it should and i do love it, just miss the subaru's. Had 7 impreza's the best being a 53 plate sti 350bhp which was only sold to fund new house. Only down side to the st is 25mpg average and omly 29mpg on a run as standard. Didnt mind these figures in a 300bhp+ impreza but in a stock focus .

Now back thinking id love a hawkeye sti or maybe a spec D as there more in my budget. Would possably be interested in a 04/05 blobeye with lowish miles.

What are the main differences between the 2.0lt and the 2.5lt as ive never been in the hawkeye impreza.

+if anyone wants a deal with a mint st

I went to buy a stock st2 from Greentree Cars the other week but after a test drive decided that I couldn't live with mpg against the power of the thing my 320 d msport felt quicker and was more involving on the road
Finished up buying a moded bug pro drive sti

I considered one of these recently, but 2 wheel drive puts me off modding it. I've had quite a few impreza's like you, but i've just bought an evo 8 fq330 with a few mods, pushing 402bhp. I really like the feel of a good classic but with even the newest ones 13yrs old now i just can't live with 13+ years old ancillaries etc, and don't fancy sinking alot of money in a car that old
