New mod :(
An unwanted mod! Some idiot decided to run a key along my bonnet last night
I'm thinking about getting a sticker to cover it untill I can get it painted. Don't want anything cheesy or too extreme. Maybe a brand name and logo like hks or some other jap tuning logo. Any ideas? Had a look about the net but haven't seen any that would work. I know some people's opinions on stickers but it's temporary until I can get it painted. Thanks

I do these repairs all the time, without seeing It in person it's hard to say, but it's worth asking about your area, Tho carbon decals on a silver car would look good

If you were local I'd definitely give it a go, wouldn't do it any harm. What happens is the 'edges' of the scratch are smoothed down so it's not as noticeable. You'd be suprised what you can do with the right polish and skill

Would this look ok to cover it until I get it painted. Scratch is down to the metal, too deep to polish out and I can't afford to get it painted for a few weeks at least.

Had the same happen to my old Celica, first night i park it somewhere else, only they used a knife and ran it from the rear lights all the way to the front wing, had to respray it as it went all the way to the metal underneath.
As said above tho if its just a clear coat scratch it will polish out just take ur time. if its slightly deeper but still within the clear coat and ur thinking of getting it sprayed anyway then try using 2500-3000 grit wet and dry paper with lots of water first, and then polish back to a shine after. its quite straightforward to do just need to do a small amount of pressure with the sandpaper at a time.
