I purchased a set of these ones last year. Once they arrived and I test fitted them I realized there wasn't actually any point fitting them. They give no extra width.

Yes i had thought of that but liked that idea also. Just a bit different looking though than the standard body. As said really like the ABW but that involves new wheels etc so cost is mounting up. Where they a decent fitment matty?

Thanks for the reply

Yea they seemed to fit ok, I only test fitted them but all seemed ok.
If its just a different look your after then yes, they will do that. Suppose they look similar to the widetrack newages.
I also like the ABW arches but as you say, lots of work and extra cost involved.

I've got them on the rear arches of my car. I gave them to my friend to fit when I had a respray. He said they were a little fiddly, but not too much trouble. They make a nice subtle change that not everyone notices straight away.

Hope these are ok (sorry about the quality):

I haven't got the fronts, but I'm thinking about it. Not sure how they fit though.

They look poo imo.

And in what way are they 'WR1 style'? The WR1 didn't have these, it didn't even have the extra trim on the rear arches as it was before the blob's switched to the wider rear track.

I personally didn't buy them because they were 'WR1 style', if fact, I didn't really mind what 'style' they were. I like the fact that they give a subtle little styling difference over a standard impreza. Each to his own though
