Must confess to missing my old 9000 Aero. Had it from new, spent a large fortune on it at Abbot Racing, did 230000 miles in it in 6 years. Blinding car! Turbo lag measured with a calender, loved the image, or lack of, guess I just like my cars to be different. Now I have the Skoda and the wife has a chipped 9-5 estate.

But it's about image and style and any SAAB would leave any Subaru for dead...
Also the pipe, slippers, flat cap, tartan rug and nodding dog tend to ruin the Saab image
I like the Saab flat cap, pipe and slipper brigade

I used to own a Saab and find the labelling of those of us who own/have owned them as 'pipe and slippers' offensive. I will be asking the mods to delete this thread

SAAB's may not look great, but my old 900GS (2litre twin carb) which is still alive and doing one of my uni's pals a treat... rocked.
It handeled very predictably, so you knew when it would go out of shape and could play with it, enough grunt to 80-90 to play with most hot hatches and I paid £150 for the car with a years road tax, so far it has cost about £200 in two years and is cheaper then a 1L fester mobile to insure.
The SAAB although hardly a rally rep, has to of been one of my best buys in the motoring world.....
Long live Scoobs and Saab's

They're so polite! Would you find ppl on here saying:
"No I must say those Vectras are jolly excellent cars, very spacious, and I had some chap overtake me on the motorway when I had to pull in to the petrol station, yes they're very economical as well...."
No - we hate eveyone else!!

Don't forget who bought turbocharging to mainstream production cars.
Without Saab to pave the way would there be a Subaru as we know it?
Or would their top selling car be a little Justy.

Nah I reckon the Sport still would have made it even without the turbo
Anyhow, if Saab didn't pave the way, it would only have been another manufacturer.
Still, my hat off to Saab, I have a good amount of respect for their cars and an even bigger amount for the posters on the Saab BBS
Top place for a jolly spiffing time dear chap

Theres something about old, dong give a toss cars. I have an OLD Golf GTI that will be getting about 200 + bhp next year for the sole purpos of destroying smug bast****s in CLKs and BM coupes.
