Sunstrip...outside or inside?
Hey guys,
I've bought a black sunstrip and am yet to fit, now the question is do I put it on the outside or inside for that more factory look? Also if so I'm guessing I need to remove the rear view mirror, easy task?

I had one fitted to the inside of the screen but unfortunately had to remove it on the side of the road after being pulled over.

Nice one, that's exactly the look I'm going for, any tips on removing the mirror?

On my classic the mirror hangs off the roof mate - so never hand any issues when they (the window tinter) fitted it.

Only if it's within the swept area of the wiper blades and too dark

for ease of removal for MOT and cops , fit outside. For a far better look , but a pain to remove and fit , outside .

which when you look at where your wiper sweeps , there is no point in fitting one. Any sunstrip that is worth doing , is illegal.

another check they do is put the sun visor up to the screen and the strip cant go below it. So get small wipers , and massive sun visors !

on my blob it slides up the screen and comes off the mounting thats fitted to the screen
my wipers go over the sun strip and i've never had a problem with coppers or MOT.
but like mentioned before, don't go lower than the sun visor when down.
another option, fit a roll cage and the sunvisors won't be functional, so a sunstrip needs to be fitted for safety reasons

Does that actually work for MOT, though?
I've got a roll cage and no sun visors, and it's bugging me when driving to/from track.

i've been told they have to allow it, don't know if it's true. never had a problem with mine.
can't you find a friendly MOT station?
they could say it wasn't on when they MOT'd it
