I was just talking to someone last night and heard them say something and my ears pricked up wondering the following.

The word mica in relation to the colour is it pronounced meesha or mika?

I was curious

I pronounce it my-ka. I just realised that I never heard anyone else say it out loud however, so I probably just made it up. It's a type of stone, so you should be able to find a dictionary entry for it which gives the correct pronunciation.

They may have only heard it pronounced in relation to the singer Mica Paris.

I've always thought of it as my-kah.
