The 20G would make for an upgrade mate and with a 2.5 it would spool very well

I went the 20g route with same car, dont regret it for 1 moment.
The only bad thing i would say if i had to is you cant max out the turbo unless you have a crazy mapper, the limit of the hawk 2.5 pistons is around 360-370 ish.
I had mine pegged back to 370hp, ran sweet and i knew i was going to rebuild engine anyways so wasnt so bothered about going pop

20g then is a no brainer, assuming you have the upgraded fuel pump.
Easy able to max the 20g at around 400-420 , some make more than others, did you have the rods replaced at same time as pistons?
If so your now into sc46 territory which is another ball game
Me personally ive just had the bottom end rebuilt and pinned and going down the gt30r route, but ive not heard a bad word about the sc46

321's and SC46 are a hole world of difference in price though from the VF's and TD's!

Yes they do perform alot better, but price wise theyre a different kettle of fish!

Ive got a 2.5 and SC46 and am VERY happy with it! before that i had a VF34 and spool wise it was great, but it just ran out of puff at the top end!

Ive heard there are alot of 2.5's running standard rods at 450 and 500 without problems.

Im standard rods and crank with forged pistons, in a SCD EJ257, running 440/410 with no probs there so far.

The next weak link after the pistons is apparently the liners, then the rods at around 480 apparently. Im hoping that a conservative map without silly boost should keep reliability! So far so good!
