Default Hello and Advice Please

Just like to start by saying Hello!

I'm currently the proud owner of a 350z GT4 in Ultra Yellow but am looking to upgrade to something with a bit more poke !

Have searched around a few weeks now and I keep coming back towards the Scooby.

A friend of mine used to own a mint WR1 and it was a gorgeous car and wouldn't mind owning one myself.

http://www.parkwaymotorgroup.co.uk/u.../details/1276/

I'm leaning towards this one at Parkway Motor Group. Was hoping some of the experts on here could advise. Is the £11995 price tag justified for one of these or is it overpriced (would try get it down to 11k anyway)? Also does anyone know the history of this car? And what sort of problems should I be looking out for? Apparently it is well known car in the Scoob universe so I hope someone can help !

Thanks

Jordan

I would pay no more than 8 to 9k for that car. You would only be buying that car if you like the colour, its a special yes but its not worth more than 10k.
You can get better STI's for alot less money , you should be looking at MY05 uk cars or even better still JDM's . Is is over priced yes and by about 3-4K.

Welcome. Last night there were numerous WR1`s on Pistonheads for much less money. Take your time and travel for the right one, preferably enthusiast owned

Are there any particular problems with the Scooby I should be looking out for? Are there any worries with high milage scoobs i.e. 60-70k +?

Also I assume JDM versions are worth less than their UK counterparts so I should be paying less for one?

Thanks.

search JDM on these forums and their are lots of threads about them. 60k isn't alot of miles in a well maintained full service history japanese car, remembering these cars are 7+ years old now..
If you look for the uk car buy a my05 model 54/05/55 plate facelift car better tax bracket wide track model.
common fault on the blob is the rear shocks knocking. Cambelt must be changed every 50k miles / 5 years whichever is sooner. When you find one post the link on here for more advice.
