Default Just been involved in a 4 car pile up,,

Just had the pleasure of being in a pile up

only got my car back from the spray shop friday aswell

I was doing about 60 down a country road with the wife and my youngest on board when some tw@t in a insignia pops out from no where,, one car hit it the next went into the back of that and i was hard on the brakes and my car nudged the one in front of me my young lad (3 years old) never woke up lol, i jumped out well pissed and checked the scoob to which its mark free but the tw@t that caused it fled the scene typical *** head imho.

Glad your unharmed buddy and most importantly your young lad is fine, could of been a whole lot worse chap.
Makes me sick that idiots would just leave the scene, he wouldn't of known everyone was ok.

Your still a knobber though mate......lol......

Main thing is you and the family are OK mate. Not good though.

Did you or anyone get the details of the knobber who fled the scene?

Good luck mate.

Glad you and your family are ok mate. Must be the day for it as I was travelling down a dual carriageway at 60 and all of a sudden an OAP in a black Corsa pulled out from his lane into my line (no indicators) causing me to slam on the anchors. Unfortunately the distance was far too short and I realised I was going to rear end him and probably total both cars or smash myself into the armco and probably still hit him.
Only option was to give a quick tug on the handbrake and try and slide the car to the right and side (into his original lane) in between the 2 cars he was orginally between and then back out of that gap and back in my lane but in front of him. By PURE luck it seemed to work and I avoided all the cars and a smash. The OAP didn't even notice me come from behind him and slide past him!! Pretty shaken up as I'm no Ken Block by a long shot and have no experience with Imprezas or drifting for that matter. Counting my blessings!

Glad everyones okay.

Insignia drivers in my experiences are ****.

Had one behind me couple days ago on the A12 in the outside lane while going past a slip road he decides to undertake me as a car merges... he doesn't slam on, no, he puts his foot down and cuts up the car in front of me. Avoiding an accident by about 5 inches. I actually thought it was over for him...

Really

It's a long straight road with a couple of roads leading off it, until you know the road in question keep your ******* gob shut !

I would never do anything to put my children at risk.

Good to hear you and the family are ok. Sounds like you were very restrained and took the sensible option.

National speed limit on most country roads is 60 why would he be in the wrong for staying within the law regardless of who's in his car?

So many idiots drive ordinary cars at such break neck speeds and then when it comes to relying on handling, they find out too late that this is where they fail.

If you want have a spirited drive, then you should bloody well make sure, your car can hold the road properly.

To me the insignia has become the Reps/company car new love. Just like 318 BMW used to be, he probably 5h17 himself thinking he could loose his job. What a Ding Dong end!!!!!
Driving M62 and A1 today in the wet was interesting seeing how other drivers reacted. Glad I was in the Scooby as had the power or the brakes if required.
Just glad you three are all safe and the little one was still in dream land.

But you did by following the car in front too close. Irrespective of the Insignia, if the car in front had anchored up for any reason you could not stop before you hit it !
