Hi guys,

Excuse the newbie question, but my 2003 STi is badged as an STi, I've seen others badged as STi Type UK.

Is there a difference? My car isn't an import...

I dont think they started using the Type UK badging until 2006.

So wouldnt expect your car to have it.

badge has probably been removed. the type uk badge started in 2002 when the first uk sti's were available. You could have a euro spec car imported from the likes of cyprus. If its a jap car it will have a rear wiper?

Yup my 2002 sti has a uk badge, but alot of people remove it just to go for the debadged look.

Im intrigued about this too, my mate is looking for an STI and asked me this and i didnt know what to say!

Euro spec will have Certificate of Conformity and the handbook will be stamped by the Euro Dealer...............usually

Not sure when they started then. Thinking about it there was the 22B type UK, but dont remember if any badging.

Clearly need to go to more meets and be anally attentive to badging
