all Impreza's from 1992 to 2007 are 5 x 100 , except for the 2005 onwards STi as these are 5 x 114

PCD = pitch circle diameter

A 2003 car would not have had 114 pcd. It would have been 100. Its more than likely the offset thats the problem or the width of the wheel.

If they were off a 2005 would it explain why they touch a bit

In that case its more than likely the tyre width thats the problem. Are they 225 tyres?

114 wheels will NOT fit a classic , unless you fit the 114 hubs , the PCD is the Pitch circle diameter , if you drew a circle through all the wheel bolts , the diameter on the circle on a classic is 100mm , on the 2005 STi the circle would be 114mm , so 14mm larger , so the 114mm wheels will not go onto a 100mm hub.
