Default FMI_pipe???

I know I'm a newbie at this but can anyone let me know what this pipe is to be connected to? I cant get a clear view or idea of what it connects to...

(1994 WRX import classic)

I have a new front mount intercooler to fit and the pipe the runs between the throtle body and the down leg has a small off-take that I have no idea what it connects to.....I have had a look at a few modified scooby's and cant seem to get a clear view of what it connects to.

I have also seen a few models where it is blanked off So my mind is totally frazzled.

Any advice?

Ah haa! That makes perfect sense considering I will have removed the standard top mount intercooler.....and that the dump valve sits between that and the throtle body.

Cheers lads
