Leaving a legacy?
Don't wanna be a killjoy but my father in law has been given no more than 6 months to live, obviously times like this place things in perspective.
Got me thinking about what kind of legacy in terms of his life he will be leaving.
I guess it makes one think what is important in life & I think it boils down to people, whoever they are in our world. Leaving our mark/impression on people rather than the material element in life is vital & important.
It would be interesting to hear your perspective & thoughts, don't worry I have a thick skin and am not a person who gets offended so you can share what you think & whether you agree or disagree.

Sorry to hear that mate, always a difficult thing to deal with and definatly gets you thinking about your own mortality.
As they say you can't take it with you, so it's really about who you are, people so often equate success in life in financial terms, sure money and the making of it is a necessary evil, but for me it's more the mark of a man his strenth of character and possession of honour than any worldly goods.
Thats why it's so important to enjoy life while your able, have goals that are more about freedom than finance, be as honest as possible without hurting others and above all be true to yourself.

hmmmm sorry to hear this btw, does it matter about legacy`s, when youre dead you cant hear ppl say oh he was great etc etc.
i think its more to do with being at peace with yourself.

when i die ill be leaving behind an impreza not a legacy! (boom boom) on a serious note id say its about what you do while your here and let your legacy take care of its self. personally id be happy if people thought of me on occasion and had some happy memories of times i made them laugh etc. i lost a very talented friend who was a musician a year ago yesterday and its mad its a year gone by already, me and my partner had a right wee giggle remembering snogging in the back of his van on the way to a gig and me arriving at the gig with a big smile on my face! good times indeed and its this kind of memory id hope to invoke with friends of mine when the time comes for me to shuffle off this mortal coil. sorry to hear of your impending loss btw.
