Default What to look for buying / service intervals

Hi,

When looking at a blob eye sti what should i look out for?
When are the main service intervals and what should i make sure is done before buying?
What are the weakpoints as i have heard the gearboxes can go after only 40-50k.
Should i only go for something that has proper scooby service history?

thanks

Michael

Hi Michael

Knocking shocks at the rear everyone I know that owns a blob has the problem. Cambelt must changed every 50k miles or 5 years whichever comes sooner. STi 6 speed gearbox isn't weak. As for servicing I would say main dealer / specialist would be preferred.

Servicing is done in on age of car or number of miles its done whichever comes sooner.
