Guys need abit of assistance currenty got a 03 blobeye sti ppp, uk spec, i'm going to get it remapped in a few weeks time, and having a downpipe, decat pipe and centre section done aswell, cosworth panel filter aswell, i've already got aafterburner back box, only be pushing 330-340ish, which is enough for me anyway, the question is do i need a front mount intercooler or change the top mount, the car heat soaks alot whilst in traffic and as you can imagine when you wanna boot it, its crap, so with the power i getting isit worth getting fmic or new uprated tmic?

you will be good with your top mount, sti top mount good for 400,

if you want to get rid of the heat soak in traffic, you will have to go for front mount, but you will gain a bit of lag,
I'm not bothered what anyone says, you will have more lag with a front mount to a top mount.

Agreed. I wouldn't worry about the heatsoak too much with our weather lol

Top mount is good enough unless u want to go 400+bhp in the future.. And as for booting it after being in traffic, just use the water ic spray!

im only running about 370max and i got a front mount, i love the look of it and no heat there in the from bumper

Whilst your tmic can cope with more power than 340, there is a few extra horses to be gained by adding a fmic.
