Default Lumpy power delivery at high speed?

Coming home along the motorway tonight everytime i excellerated in 5th doing somewhat over the limit (to overtake of course officer) the power delivery was all lumpy but it was on 4K revs?

Any ideas?

if your on a small top mount could of been due to high intake temps, if it is be careful it could lead to engine damage.

No engine lights came on maybe a slight incline on the road but nothing unusual since never done it before on the same road?
