Default Few questions regarding mapping

Hi all. I've bought a 53 ppp wrx wagon and it's had a scooby clinic remap with some modifications, but i know the sti tmic has been removed.

It's been fitted with

downpipe de-cat
center cat removed
prodrive backbox
k&n apollo
scobby clinic remap
sti tmic removed since mapping

The k&n i want to take of and replace with the std airbox and panel filter as i don't think it's much good tbh. Would the car need remapping??

it wouldn't be so much a remap more of a map tweak they may just alter the air/fuel to suit accordingly but would deffo get it in.

If it hasn`t already been done, I`d remove the up-pipe cat too

Up pipe decat i'm looking into. Could anybody do the tweak or would it have to be scooby clinic? scoobyclinic is a treck from me so couldn't drive up there.

Cheers, kev

From your comment is it running a FMIC? If so it is likely that the pipework goes through where the airbox should live so a no go for fitting it back.

No it's a tmic like i said. I have receipts for a sti tmic and imagine it wasfitted when the remap was done 280bhp 280lbs but it's since been taken of, Hence asking can anybody do the map tweak or does it need to be the original mapper. Ta

Replacing the induction filter with the airbox fitted with a decent panel filter such as a K&N will be okay, once fitted get it checked on a rolling road to be sure.

I would think going that way, as opposed to panel to induction, the car would run richer. As said above get it on the rollers to check all ok....

Cheers guys.

What else would you recommend fitting before it goes in for the map tweak. Std filter and k&n drop in and anything else that bolts on?
