My boss has had about 6 scoobs and currently has the new sti saloon, he then bought the hatch diesel for his mrs. He didnt go into any detail but simply said it was sh!te, he may have a thing against diesels i dont know but thats what he said.
Personally i'd go german for diesel.

obviously they arnt the same car as a petrol scoob but it would be interestin to see how they fare against a german 1.
I have had a few german cars myself and a good mate of mine has a 535d mapped to 330bhp with 700Nm torque.....which my scoob strugles to keep with after the 100mph mark

That's the thread that's been going for a while now
Mine is 3 years old on Friday
Jut had its service off rob at Stan palmers and its going well
Economy is getting slightly better as the engine gets looser and performance has increased especially bit tight to 20k then it goes better
Only problems were new front discs after 25k miles and odd paint chip with standard subaru soft paint work
Not many for sale in the uk and 09 seem to be 15-17k depends on mileage as they are soon rare
Averaging 46-48 mpg and always 500 to the tank which is about £89 and mine is always short fast blasts to work for 10 miles
Can get over 51 on a long steady 300 mile drive but I like to put the foot down
Would I recomend one ?
Expensive and very rare looks the part not brilliant economy compared to Audi /BMW/seat /Skoda as its a heavy car but it goes well and I love it
But still prefer the Greenwagon and I will probably keep the wrxd as a everyday car when the BRZ is born to complete my Scooby family

Another wrxd owner here. Its an ok car, will be alot better once its been to see Rob and Iain at Litchfields
Its a good commuter car, but being a 4 pot single turbo (and a small one at that) means the BMW bi turbo's beat it hollow for torque figures.
