Uk: ariel Drivers A pillar.
Import: Ariel on passenger side rear quarter panel by the spoiler.

Wagon imports have them on rear of the roof

RA and type R have aerial on pillar as well as the very first STI version (1994). All other imported imprezas have aerial on rear quarter.

If its a classic and deffo a WRX then it's a import. Uk cars were never called WRX.

Use this link to help you find out which model you have -

There are several differences but the best way to tell is by using the model code on the vin plate in the engine bay (near side suspension strut).

Tony is right, but bear in mind that NO Imprezas were imported other than grey imports before around 96? (Can't remember exact date).

NO UK cars got rear wash-wipe, but many have been retro-fitted.
The same goes for electric folding mirrors.

The UK cars were called that, and had "Impreza Turbo 2000 awd" on a sticker on the boot.http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en...9,r:3,s:0,i:81

NO STi's or WRX's got imported except as greys.

I guess the OP has a bug so..........

Euro Imports should come with a COC and the handbook will have the info and first stamp in dutch etc........

All jap imports have a rear wiper

Not sure about wrx bug but on sti import newage the indicator stalk is on the right and wiper on the left and the rear wash wipe, also need to hold down clutch to start the car, electric folding mirrors and tinted rear windows. But the v5 should also state when it was first registered in uk. Also no mirror on passenger sunvisor on my import.
