Iv been into my Hondas for about 7 years now and feel the time has come to move on to bigger and better things Heres a few of my old Hondas just for reference:











Anyway, onto the subject in-hand: Buying a subaru

One thing iv learnt from owning Hondas is that Jap imports always come with little bonus bells and whistles. So with that in mind, iv set my mind on an import WRX classic shape. Im preferably after black or white in colour and as standard as possible in spec.

Is there anything in particular to look out for when buying this particular model?

Nice cars mate, i used to have the 03 Type R n black it was Bulletproof, I then went to Astra VXrs then scoobs.

Diff world when you nail a scooby, i do like Vtec mind

Try and source a car that had the ecu remapped for UK fuel when it entered the country so you know it has not been run lean or with additives.


Go for an STI rather than WRX.

and yes, you'll get a better car from an import rather than a UK model. We are short changed in the UK.

Only have around £1.5k-£2k to spend so doubt I'll get a black/White Sti for that kind of money will I?

Another couple of questions.

I like the look of the fog light covers, did these come on a specific model? Or is it an eBay job if I wanted a set now?

I also like the headlight/indicator units with the black housing. Are they eBay jobs?

Final thing I'd like is a double din headunit. Is the housing for these off a specific impreza? Or...?

I'm not too fond of eBay so if there are better options out there please advise
