Triton Motor Sport - Christchurch.
It seems common nowadays to knock businesses for poor service but never thank them when the service is excellent.
I took my 03 WRX to Triton Motor Sport in Christchurch yesterday to have my uppipe replaced with one from an STI on the advice / recommendation of Duncan, Race Dynamix.
I was quoted for three hours labour and a secondhand uppipe, a very reasonable £185 + vat. Made all the more reasonable as I was quoted £600 for the same work by my local specialist.
Unfortunately the job ended up taking almost six hours due to corroded bolts that turned a reasonably straightforward ( for a specialist ) into a nightmare.
Despite the problems they cracked on without complaint ( although I am sure there was plenty of cursing behind the scenes - lol! ) With several coffees and a courtesy lift to the local cafe keeping me occupied.
Best of all when the car was finally ready the bill was as quoted with no extra charges for the extra time incurred.
Needless to say the team at Triton come highly recommended and despite me living some 180 miles away I will without doubt return in the future ( I visit family in the area )
Superb service acknowledged and a big thumbs up from me

They've looked after my both my Imprezas over the last 9 years and never had a problem with them but like any business you'll always get unsatisfied customers, think the best thing that's happened is that one of the staff left and a lot of the problems seemed to be with his workmanship.

trtion motorsport are dam good honest people, and since andy vey left them the worlds worst mapper and engine builder they have come on leaps and bounds, put it this way andy vey built my forged engine three years ago a year ago my engine let got because of his poor mapping and building skills i went back to Triton who i always use and they rebuilt my engine for free all i paid for was the parts which came to about 600-700 quid and its been happy ever since , the man Duncan has done all the mapping and quoted my engine is one of the quietest he has heard for a long time
ive been using them guys for over four years and they do me work for free some times because im a loyal customer and they dont mind me sitting around drinking their tea and using their tools as well dam good guys with a big hearts and they have a spare parts section like no other which is dam handy when sensors go do drive shafts snap and all the other little bits and bobs that go wrong with these cars big respect, any one who put bad comments about them must have gone there in the days of old , when Andy Vey work there and half owned it

Yeah that dosn't sound too good! If I were to have an engine rebuild or mapping I would probably use one of the respected tuners off of here anyway I would never go to triton again their attitude towards me stunk!

Well they fitted a standard exedy clutch to my car rated to only 300 bhp when they knew that it was running at over 330bhp. I was under the impression that it was the same clutch being fitted as the one that was taken out, the uprated exedy pink box clutch. I only found out when i was paying for it and was told that i wouldn't be getting a warranty as the clutch wasn't rated to the power of my car!? Worse than that though i asked them to look at my brakes because i wasn't happy with them and was told they were fine it was just because i was used to the brakes on my merc which i had before. After a couple of weeks i decided to take it somewhere else to have a look at them because i still wasnt happy with them and they were completely knackered
