Default Stainless cleaning.

What`s the best way to get a stainless steel backbox clean again? I know Autosol is good stuff but this might need some `machine help` too I don`t think I have enough elbow grease

I used to use car plan wonder wheels to remove any grime, followed by brasso, definitely not silvo, i don't know why but brasso works much better, it used to bring my back box up a treat!

Wire wool ay...never thought of that! Something like this http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/decorat...l-Fine-9253250

The Britemax Twins seems to do a good job as you say.......http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=257426

Wd40 wont solve the problem where the metal has oxidised and left a copper like colour on the exhaust. .For that autosol will remove without to much effort .I have sold 5 exhaust on this site in 7 weeks & for me its autosol everytime.

The results speak for themselves

If you try halfords they had a offer on a few weeks ago buy any 3 cleaning products pay only for 2, so you can get some alloy wheel cleaner as well as 2 tubs of autosol , which is what I did. :thumb

Try it with a non-stick pan scourer

I used Autosol, an old Rolson polishing kit and SOME elbow grease...this is the best I could get it - shame it doesn`t sound as good as it looks!

I was unable to find anywhere that sold ultra fine (00) wire wool, only coarse, medium and fine...so I didn`t use it on this occasion.
