Default Cordless Impact Wrench for wheel removal

I'm looking to get a cordless impact wrench for changing over wheels/tyres on track days.

Does anyone have any experience with them.? One's to avoid, one's to use?

I'm on a budget and the wrench will only have light use. Ideally i would need one that can be adjusted to the correct wheel nut torque settings.

I have the Clarke 240v one and am very happy with it... no reason to suspect that the 24v version you can pick up at a reasonable price on eBay would be any different.

I've just bought a Rolson 24v with x2 batteries and kit. Nearly new. £50 delivered.
I hope it's up for the job. It has a torque rating of 200ft lbs

I have a Rolson too... works well but my batteries don't hold change. I think you can get replacements direct from them though.

I bought a Rolson 70789 24v. Nice piece of kit and I use it a lot. Rated at 200 ft/lbs but in my experince, wheel nuts have to be slackened manually by socket first. Good value for money at around £65 - but I might spend more if I was a regular track day user.

well, i'll be a bit disappointed if it cannot undo wheel nuts that are torqued to 90nm as on my car.

I've heard the batteries don't hold charge for long. I wonder if this is to stop memory effect from users 'topping up' the battery packs?

Iv got a snap on one that i use.
bare in mind im a mechanic and use it all day every day. its never missed a beat in 3 years so far so if you have the money to spend you will be best off buying quality.
