Recieved a Phormula Ks3 today fitted sensor on the block and wired in all ok . It turns on but does not detect any knock what so ever!! its set at 6khz at mo as their online calculator say 6.2 but the closest is 6. Gain is on -7 . and all connections are good . Any ideas anyone?

have you tried tapping the knock sensor with a spanner to see if it registers?

Why would you presume you have knock?

Well when i had a power fc on my old car that would register when starting up and give a figure as any engine has some sort of noise . So will these unit only detect knock and not engine noise what so ever?

When I had one installed it didn't register while driving and would maybe go up to 7-10 when I bell oiled it near the redline and occasionally a little bit on gear changes
I also have had a apexi pfc and found the knock reading unreliable
