Hi all call me stupid but iv heard so many diffrent things i thought id ask on hear i currantly have a 3" decat downpipe that meets a 2.5" standard center that then has a 3" hks backbox but my standard center has a resonator and a broken flexi so i can replace it wth a stainless striaght through but its also 2.5" bore will this mate up ok with my 3" downpipe and backbox like they do currantly only asking as i can get a decent center for a really good price and its to good to miss and its local to me any info would be fantastic cheers all

Your std centre section will mate up with your downpipe no problem,but it may not mate up with your backbox depending on how the holes are aligned.If your downpipe is a 'TRUE' 3' not narrowing down to 2.5' like most tend to do,the easiest thing to do is buy a 3' centre section like the item below :

Im just unsure as my standard center at the momnet fits my backbox and downpipe so i asked the seller of the one im getting and he said it will fit to the 3" downpipe just not sure on the backbox if not i could always cut the flanges off and weld them on the straight through. Surley if the standard on fits a straigh though should be ok. My downpipe is a true 3" but the flange mates the 2.5 center perfect!!

buy a 2.5 inch gasket for a few qiud and see if it fits the decat if the holes don,t line up then its 3 inch ,then get same gasket and try it on the back box

some brands do a 3inch pipe but the flanges are 2.5 inch

lots off places will say it will fit then it don,t they just want to sell you there product

Just take the middle section off and check it.
If it has 2.5" flange both ends then a standard middle section will be fine.

If it is a standard middle section you have then the back box won't be a true 3", it will narrow down to 2.5".
