Default Best place to buy rocker gasket online?

Hi all,

The rocker cover gasket has a small leak on the drivers side of the engine and is causing the excess oil to be burnt off and smoke a lot!

Where is the best place and price I can get a replacement online (happy to fit it myself)?

Thanks in advance!

Import car parts. Genuine parts at decent prices. Dont be tempted to buy cheap as you will buy again. Get some threebond sealant too.

we used to use sealer when using non genuine gaskets until the cars we used non genuine gaskets on started coming back leaking after a few heat cycles, So we moved to using genuine gaskets we were surprised by the price difference not being to bad never used sealer with these either and none of the cars we have fitted genuine gaskets to have come back leaking. We only used non genuine gaskets in the past as they were easier to get hold of as our local engine shop stocked them, We now stock a good selection of the genuine subaru gaskets for ease

well this is where it gets a little more costly to be honest, We do replace these if they are perished or leaking etc, but in many cases it is just the out rocker cover gasket that needs replacing so to save our customers money we only do this, prices for both options are give and it is entirely up to them replace the lot or just the gasket

in some cases the rocker cover its self has been replaced due to being warped but this is very uncommon so i wouldn't worry

USE A 1/4 DRIVE rachet look at the bolts carefully there is a point where the bolt will go no tighter and you will just strip the thread . oh and i got my gaskets from ultra parts in north devon £9 quid a side , have been on 12+ months with no leaks

The issue is the bolt seals.
Using shouldered bolts, you can only torque the bolts down to the point where the shoulder contacts the head. The face relies on the tension in the bolt seal rubbers to press the gaskets on.
It's no good trying to tighten them up any more if they leak!

We only use genuine Subaru gaskets and seals.

Do you add any sealant at all Alan?

And would you replace the two plug seals etc as a matter of course?
