Default Bonnet scoop quiery

Looking for an STi high level scoop for 2005 WRX. Will it be a straight swap & do I need the under tray?

Straight swap yes, and undertray depends on what intercooler you have fitted.

If your leaving it standard then your undertray will be right for it, but if you decide to change to sti one then you will need sti undertray and scoop.
So you can put a sti scoop on and leave your undertray on unless stated above.

Am I right in thinking that if I want the high level STi scoop then it will need the under tray plus an STI intercooler fitting as wellor can I leave the standard WRX intercooler on

Yes You can leave the standard intercooler on with standard undertray.
But if you decide to change intercooler to sti then you will need sti undertray to match.
