Default brembo clearance?

i've done a dry fit on my gc8 and front (black) brembo's every thing clears ok(ish)
but how much clearance is a safe margine between caliper and wheel?

i would say i have at a guess 2/3mm clearance is that ok?

looks very close to me...

rota grids
but can't remember the offset, but i know the guy i got them from wanted to fill the arches so had a biggish offset...

should of added 17" wheels

and the issue i have is between the outside of the caliper and the inside of the spokes, if that makes sense.

even the oe set up on a newage sti with oe brembos/wheels have very little clearance,as long as they miss, then you have nothing to be concerned about

ive found in the past, getting info on what style/offset wheels, clears what brake set up is actually not that easy.

a guide would be valuable imo

As long as the calipers and wheels clear each other there's no issue because it's not like either can ever move closer to the other unless there are serious issues like a wheel bearing failure!

That's really negligible so 1mm would more than cover it

I'm pretty sure he is referring to the gap size, talking about using a pinky (little finger) to check clearance, not informing you of the latest auto fetish.

yeh, but keep an eye on future tyre fitters they can put ballance weights in the wrong place and it will take the paint off the top of the caliper
