Looking at buying back my old wagon and the Mrs would like to use it as a daily runner for going to the stables etc. Can anyone tell me roughtly how much it costs to have a LPG kit fitted and set up? The car would be running as standard so no mods or remap to consider.........


Also am i right to think that you still use petrol to start the car and then you switch over to the LPG?

I've had two cars that ran on LPG. I didn't have the systems fitted but believe they were circa 2K each when installed.
Yes they still use petrol to start and then after a few minutes switched over to gas.

Make sure you have the Flashlube fitted too or your valves may suffer. LPG kits can be fitted these days for circa £1500.

Will the car need mapping or anything or does the LPG kit take care of the fuelling needed? Sorry for the silly question but never looked in LPG before and just want to make sure it will run spot on and not end up turning into a money pit

I still have LPG kit for sale and about the fuelling etc.LPG usually comes with own ECU,which will take care about the fuelling etc.

If will run spot on,depends on LPG fitter and if will be safe,depends on more factors,Flash lube kit as above will be good investment
