Thinking about going back to a Type R

Thinking about going back to a Type R
Since I sold my S202 I have been in dilema's after dilema's in regards to what car to buy. I just got myself a JDM STi widetrack & to be honest it did not do anything for me, therefore I sold it. Dont get me wrong, it was a very nice car to drive but it did not have that toy feeling to it. Plus the weight was very noticeable.
I have been offered a very decent mildly modded Type R V4 only for 3k. Car is mint, nothing wrong at all. A lot of car for very little money. Bank the rest & live happily ever after, or go view the Evo 9 ............ or just buy a Daewoo Matiz
What to do?????????????

The Twinscroll was not as quick as I was expecting it to be. The revs go through quick but the speedo is still at 80-90 when redlining in 4th.
Seen 2 Evo's, 1 is a 9 which is running 400/400, the other is a 8 FQ300, 2.3 stroker, cossie cams, RS box, Vipec ecu, Tomei turbo, limited to 490/490.. Wonder how this would compare to a similar bug or classic?

It won't if he gets his hands dirty, and he might actually hang on to it if he has a better connection with it, lets face it a very large chunk of money that many pay out is in labour charges for things that are not difficult to do, and with all the information on the internet with regards "how to" you only need a decent socket set, axel stands and a jack, and thousands can be saved, and the feeling of satisfaction is immense.

Type R gets my vote, fun to drive. Drove Evo 8 MR for over a month didn't have as much fun as the Type R tbh, don't get me wrong it's a very well built car but feels too heavy comparing to the Type R.

Another Type R vote here
After owning all manner of STi's I went back to a Type R, as it was the most fun... light, nimble, hurls forward (at a mere 330bhp ), and makes all the right noises (induction, chatter sound BOV etc). Good luck
BTW - have you owned a Spec C? I haven't, but of all the New Age cars, these look the most interesting

Kas, I would say try a Blobeye Spec C as I wouldn't really compare it to a standard JDM STi, but I have to say that once you've had an S202 that nearly all others are a disappointment.
