Hi guys, just needing a bit of help here. I'm trying to fit a STI newage intercooler to a prefacelift WRX, now Ive take the standard slanty off but the newage one does now even seem to sit staight. There is a metal triangle plate that appears to be blocking it, does this need to be cut and removed? Also I have read the throttle body needs to be ground down slightly.

Ive read the guides on scoobypedia but its for a facelift.

yes it does, just cut either side if it and bend it down.you also need to trim your throttle body and the end of the intercooler that joins to the throttle body
