Default massive thanks to alan jeffreys @ enginetuner

couldnt have asked for anymore, car been off road pretty much since the tunnel run back last october. had a total of 3 people/garages who pretty much didnt finish the job.
picked up the car from enginetuner yesterday, and i could honestly say 'they're the best out there'
service in general is amazing with alan and the guys there, almost an instant response at times.
the drive home felt as smooth as when i first had the car, back to its best!!
on the new engine (2.1 CDB), theyve even set a limiter to stop me from revving over 4k. and give me the full instructions on how to run the new engine in
already done 400 miles, another 200 miles and i'll be heading back up to plymouth for my re-map.
i would definitely recommend enginetuner to anyone who would like to re-build or pretty much anything or their motor
see you 'enginetuner' soon!!!

ET built my last engine an will be building my next! The amount of cars/engines they have at any 1 time in their workshop will vouch for their competantcy and popularity! If you have an issue then speak to Alan and no doubt he will bend over backwards to help you if you've followed their guidance to the letter!

Judging by your username your of Ford background so not one for reliable motors

I have never actually had any dealings with engine tuner as yet but alot of my friends have had their engines built with them and mapped.
When talking to them about engine tuner they have nothing but praise for them.
As mentioned I'm not a customer but have asked Alan many questions over time, especially when I had my Evo 6 and he's always responded quickly and helpfully.
If you've got a problem or your friends have maybe you should do the same instead of pathetic sniping on other peoples threads.

I'll be using engine tuner as soon as I can for rebore/machining of my block. The intention was to actually build it myself but judging by their reputation I'm sorely tempted to get them to do the full bottom end build.

I spent well under 2k at Enginetuner on map, brakes and suspension in November; prior to that Alan spent a good half hour on the phone and email answering my questions, another 20 mins on a test drive when I past by on my way to Cornwall, and taxied us into Plymouth.
I would not hesitate to return to Plymstock and ET, a round trip of 380 miles.

just thought i'd like to update after another trip down to see alan and martyn at enginetuner
what can i say, these guys are amazing!
went there yesterday to get my car mapped after running her in, shes done around 1100 miles now. firstly had to carry out a oil (now on semi synthetic) and filter change. then it was time to get it mapped.
on the rollers for the 1st time, martyn straight away noticed that the tumble valve wasnt opening. long story cut short, they removed the inlet manifold (im impressed how quickly they removed it) took the tumble valves off, and did a made them work!
as time was ticking, alan and martyn knew that they needed more time spent on my car. alan offered me to stay in a hotel for a night! i was shocked, and at the same time delighted, they wanted to make sure everything was spot on before my trip back to Essex
next morning, martyn up early, gave me the wake up call and we cracked on
getting everything set up on the mapping side and a run on an A road to get it perfect

attention to detail and service is what the guys @ enginetuner is all about. the amount of cars that they're working on proves that people are going there for the same reason i am

4 hours later, i was back home. the journey home driving my car was amazing. car felt like a dream

i'll be seeing them again when i fit my 6 speed, and my rotated setup very soon !!

few pics of the trip

this engine in the murtaya

oil and filter change

on the dyno

end result on V power (was scared my 5 speed would go, but stayed strong)

LOL @ EVO BOYS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THERE CAR WAS SO SLOW (caps off)
