Thinking of getting a turbo estate (Y-reg or alike), cause the 4 door version is no good for my dogs!!!

Can anyone tell me if they are just as fast and handle just as good? Are there any points to look out for etc....

Cheers

Get the five door - our two (small) dogs love it. Lucky that really.....

I've got a 5dr too (MY95) - love it!!!!

I've also got Dog & daughter - couldn't fit it all in a 4dr!!! Highly recommended. Also not quite as 'in yer face' as the 4dr versions......

Still scares the whatsit out of unsuspecting would-be-try-it-ons!!!

Also, on earlier models (pre new-shape), the 5dr did apparently have a stiffer chassis...... IIRC.....

Also, IIRC, the Impreza started off as a 5dr.....

Cool

Yep, got a MY97 5 door, it's great, never driven a 4 door but the car is plenty quick enough. Not as many about which is another reason to get one. Performance wise I think it's 0.2 or less of a second to 60, pretty much down to the driver. Get one

If big exhausts are you thing get a 5 door, far more noise can be heard from an after market pipe than on a 4 door. Saw a classic shape silver 5 door today and to be honest looked pretty good.

i owned a 4 doors and now i own a 5 doors and ... they are exactly the same ! same engine , same chassis , same handling and reactions : there are just few kilos difference between them
the 5 doors is amazing as none would expect that kind of car with that kind of performances from an estate !
get a full exhaust , a filter induction kit and a new wastegate and it's done
enjoy !
