Default spec-d in black????

Looks a great little spec on it but I thought all spec-d's were in urban grey.

Also 15k what you think about the price I know its got a lot of suspension work done but always thought it never really made much difference to the price, considering they can he had around 10k nowadays just kind of figured for that price a forged engine should be on the cards.

Spec-D's were all in grey, Fitted with leather interior and a small discreet spoiler on the bootlid & a different radio Pioneer if I recall & fitted with a traffic master system

i ve come across one before, i think its based on a jap s-line but with all leather instead of half suede,i saw one when i was looking for my spec d , it had the really tiny spoiler on like an audi s-line spoiler, it also had black brembos like the jap a-line, i think litchfield import them as a base car ?.
was gonna take a punt on it but 12 grand seemed steep.

There are no Spec D's other than crystal grey those that claim to be are the handful of STi Limiteds that came into the country. They had heated fronts seats, black brembos and the JDM A-Line spoiler HTH.

Ok so that makes it a jdm sti then? I thought all jdm cars were 2.0ltr? Was the jdm 2.5 more reliable than the UK version? Are they still twin scroll?

Any tips?

I never said they were JDM or A-Lines. What I said was (as a point of reference), is that they had JDM A-Line spoilers. Other than that they are a normal 2.5 STi. Cheams had a load on their website white, black and urban grey. On my phone atm but I will try and find a link.

They were basically European versions of the Spec D, but branded STI Limiteds when some dealers got hold of a few to sell in the UK. They're not Spec D's though I actually think they are better though with heated front seats and more D' like discreet brakes and spoiler.

After the success of the discreet European versions of the STI, Subaru Japan tries to copy that with the "A-Line". It has a front and rear spoiler lip and is available in Premium Silver Met. (1G), Obsidian Black Pearl (2J) and Crystal Grey Met. (8W). The A-Line costs 3.444.000 Yen and has the JDM 2-litre engine generating 280 PS.
There are Euro Versions called A-Lines, Limiteds, Spec G, Spec D....basically the same discreet philosophy. Although Jap version clearly had the JDM benefits of a 2ltr engine etc
