Default Removing Vinyls? (Whole car)

Hi All,

Quick question for anyone thats done it?

I need to remove 90% of the vinyl decals off my scooby for a few reasons, first being that the light fingered local scum have already put 2&2 together and i've lost a bit of equipment already (although nothing a real value is ever left in the car like scanners etc) so its just too much of a risk to leave it anywhere in daily use.
Second being that I have to use it for a close family funeral on Wedsnesday and its all stickered up like a rally car so its not exactly respectfully discreet!

I need to do them anyway, just wondering if anyones seen a real easy way to do it thats not too time consuming, or whether I should bite the bullet and just hire a car for the day?

Many thanks,
Andy

Use an air dryer it will warm the vinyl up and easy to remove

i did mine with a heat gun just make sure you dont heat them up to much as you will peel off the laquer as you pull the vinyl off.

i used to do this for a livin , heat gun not too close and use a plastic spatula like they use in a paint shop for fillin, take the heat away when moving the stickers, dont put near any rubbers or seals and to remove glue residue wipe whole area afterwards with tar and glue remover, most valeters stock this and maybe autoglym. will flatten the paint depending on colour, possibly will bave to cut paint back with g3 and showroom polish mix make your own up in a bottle conceentrate on 1 panel at a tim .not in the sun or on hot metal

^^^ My other concern, I can probably get all the stickers off before the date so its not too loud visually... Can't get round the exhaust though

Heat gun it is then, thanks chaps. I've got a bit of laquer peel on the front grille to watch but other than that I should be fine
